ROYAL NEWFOUNDLAND CONSTABULARY AND ROYAL NEWFOUNDLAND CONSTABULARY ASSOCIATION PARTNER WITH WOUNDED WARRIORS CANADA

(ST. JOHN’S, NL) April 13, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Association (RNCA) are pleased to announce they have partnered with Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC).

The three organizations have entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that was signed this morning at RNC Provincial Headquarters. RNC Chief Joseph Boland, Mr. Scott Maxwell, Executive Director of WWC, and Cst. Nick Cashin, Vice President of the RNCA, were on hand to sign the agreement.

Through this MOU, Wounded Warriors Canada will make the RNC and RNCA aware of their available mental health programs and services in an effort to provide an additional layer of mental health service support for RNC and RNCA members and their families. The MOU also formalizes the partnership with respect to the expectations, commitments and responsibilities of the parties.

WWC is a national mental health charity whose mission is to honour and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families. Wounded Warriors is a fiscally responsible, privately funded mental health charity that relies on the support and generosity of individual Canadians, Services and Associations, and Businesses to fund their national programming.
