WOUNDED WARRIORS CANADA HONOURS HUMBOLDT FIRST RESPONDERS
SASKATOON – From July 9 – 12, Humboldt First Responders (Police, Fire, EMS) and their families gathered at the Elkridge Resort in Waskesiu, Saskatchewan to take part in the Wounded Warrior Canada Tribute To Your Service program. The program is designed to provide participants with much needed respite, allowing the First Responders the chance to relax, reflect and interact with both their families and their peers in a private setting.
The Tribute to Your Service program in Waskesiu was delivered specifically for First Responders who were involved in the Humboldt tragedy. The program was funded as a result of the care, compassion and generosity of Canadians who stepped up to donate to the Humboldt First Responder Fund that was setup by Wounded Warriors Canada and the Tema Conter Memorial Trust immediately following the accident. The Fund went on to raise nearly $200,000.
