TORONTO BEYOND THE BLUE PARTNERS WITH WOUNDED WARRIORS CANADA
TORONTO – Toronto Beyond The Blue (TBTB) and Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC) are proud to announce a collaborative partnership focused on supporting the mental health and well-being of Toronto Police Service members and their families.
Over the last four years, Wounded Warriors Canada has developed an innovative slate of evidence-informed mental health programs that are providing life-changing results for ill and injured Veterans, First Responders and their families – right across Canada. Through this partnership, Toronto Beyond The Blue will provide awareness and support for WWC programming while Wounded Warriors Canada will serve as an added element of mental health support for Toronto Police Service members and their families.
Dilnaz Garda, President of Toronto Beyond The Blue, commented, “Our organization understands first hand the unique pressure and stress of being part of a police family. Toronto Beyond the Blue is dedicated to strengthening the family unit by providing Toronto Police Service officers/civilian members and their families with progressive and proven wellness tools and resources. Partnering with Wounded Warriors Canada will allow our members to receive access to the best mental health programs and we are proud to work together with such an incredible organization.”
Scott Maxwell, Executive Director of Wounded Warriors Canada, commented, “Our First Responders, their families and, indeed, our communities are better served by being in this together for mental health. The unique stressors associated with the duties we require from our public safety personnel puts them at risk to suffer the affects of operational stress injuries. We applaud the efforts of the team at Toronto Beyond The Blue and we look forward to working together to support Toronto Police members and their families in the months and years to come.”
