Wounded Warriors Canada, in partnership with South Western Ontario First Responders, and West Haven Golf and Country Club, is proud to host its second annual Golf Classic. On Wednesday, June 19th we will gather together for a day on the course in support of our ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families.

YOUR IMPACT

Canadians are understandably shocked to know that since 2010 we have lost more Veterans to suicide then were killed in action in Afghanistan. For Wounded Warriors Canada, and for our nation, this is entirely unacceptable. Sadly, this situation is as dire for our First Responders and their families.

Operational Stress injuries such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder have impacted the lives of thousands of Canadians and Canadian families who have served our country proudly both at home and abroad. Unfortunately, far too many of our Veterans and First Responders are falling through the systemic gaps that exist in caring for them in their time of need.

In response, Wounded Warriors Canada raises funds to develop and deliver a wide range of innovative mental health programs and services, helping over 1,800 uniformed service members and their families each year. Their programming investments include:

National leader in the provision of Animal Assisted Therapy for PTSD (Equine & Service Dogs)
Individual and Couples-based trauma therapy programs
Skills Transition support
10 year, $400,000 PhD Scholarship in mental health research
Post-Secondary scholarships for Veterans’ children
