Langley Rotary Club Donates $20,000 to Wounded Warriors Canada
Langley, BC — Wounded Warriors Canada is proud to announce that the Langley Rotary Club has made a donation of $20,000 to Wounded Warriors Canada. The donation is a result of the Club’s gala dinner and silent auction event that was held on November 8th.
The gala included both a live and silent auction, which featured some very unique items under the gavel of auctioneer Bill Henke. One item in particular was a flight for two with the Fraser Blues aerobatic team, headed by former Langley Airport manager George Miller.
The Fraser Blues do a regular flypast of numerous Remembrance Day ceremonies in Surrey and Langley, and the winning bidder will now have the opportunity to accompany them on this very memorable flight.Wounded Warriors Canada is extremely grateful for the support of Langley Rotary Club. It is through these partnerships that our programs, available at no cost to our ill and injured CAF members, Veterans and their families are made possible.
