Veterans Emergency Transition Services Canada
Founded in 2010, VETS Canada was formed to address a critical gap in support to our veterans of the CAF and RCMP. These are individuals who had not made successful transitions from their military/RCMP careers to healthy civilian lives and, in the process, lost everything, and may be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
VETS Canada has a large network of dedicated volunteers across the country, many of whom are veterans and still serving military and RCMP members themselves, who work tirelessly to ensure that the men and women who protected our home should never be without one.
VETS Canada volunteers physically walk the streets, visiting shelters and soup kitchens to seek out those veterans who may be in need of a helping hand to assist them in connecting to the benefits and services that they may be entitled to.
Through the generosity of supporters like Wounded Warriors Canada, VETS Canada has been able to assist hundreds of veterans across the country by assisting them in transitioning from the streets to a stable lifestyle as well as stepping in to prevent them from ending up on the streets.
