EHN’s Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) are virtual and can be an option for clients with mild to moderate substance use, mood or anxiety concerns. They can also be used as a step down from inpatient treatment if clients need further support after an inpatient stay or, as an option for pre-stabilization before an inpatient stay. There are three streams of treatment within our IOPs:
- Concurrent Addiction & Mental Health
- Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders
- Workplace Trauma – exclusively offered to first responders, military, and frontline workers.
All Intensive Outpatient programs include:
- Sessions delivered by Masters-Level, registered clinicians specializing in online mental health
- 8 weeks of Intensive Therapy
- 8 hours of group (4 days @ 2 hours each)
- 1 hour of individual therapy per week
- 10 months of Aftercare (weekly 2 hour group sessions)
- Family Education Webinar Series
- Technical Support staff trained in crisis management
The Workplace Trauma IOP has recently been updated to provide individualized Trauma treatment:
- 8 weeks of Intensive Group Therapy
- 8 hours of group (4 days @ 2 hours each)
- 1-hour individual CPT sessions over 12 weeks
Inpatient Trauma Programs
EHN has 3 dedicated facilities for military, veterans, RCMP and first responders to treat Concurrent Trauma and Addiction, and Trauma and Psychological Injury: Gateway in Peterborough, ON, Atlantic Centre for Trauma in Annapolis Valley, NS and Edgewood in Nanaimo BC. There is also a dedicated group at Clinique Nouveau Depart for French speaking members in this sector.
Our Trauma programs use evidence based treatments for trauma/ psychological injury and addiction. Clients learn how to manage PTSD/ OSI symptoms to ensure a successful ongoing therapy post discharge. Trauma programs consist of small, closed group cohorts led by clinicians who specialize in addiction and trauma, occupational therapists and a full medical team of physicians, registered nurses, and psychiatrists. Also included:
- 24/7 medical and clinical support
- Medically supervised withdrawal management
- 12 hour family education program (virtual)
- 12 months of Aftercare
