Hand Up! is a new grant program run by Wounded Warriors.ca for those wounded soldiers who have battled back and are now ready with a plan to get on with their lives. The first beneficiary is Rob Ayers, a young veteran wounded in April 2007. Rob has worked through his injury and is now trained to be a carpenter and wood worker. While the training was covered by Veterans Affairs, the cost of tools were not. To get him on his way, Wounded Warriors.ca has purchased tools. Added to this was the generous contribution of Randy Lyon of Uxport Tools in Port Perry who provided them at absolute cost.
