Since 2012, WWC has contributed over $8M training and
pairing of PTSD Services Dogs benefiting injured
Trauma Exposed Professionals (TExP’s)

Properly trained PTSD Service Dogs can and do change and save lives.

The positive impacts of PTSD Service Dogs on the lives of ill and injured TExP’s can be profound. Since 2012, WWC has raised and contributed more than $6M to train and pair up to 100 PTSD Service Dogs with TExP’s suffering from post-traumatic injuries annually.

WWC is committed to supporting access to properly trained PTSD Service Dogs across Canada.

All intake, including the management of waitlists, are conducted by the respective PTSD Service Dog training providers.

Wounded Warriors Canada does not provide funding to train individual dogs.

A: The positive impact PTSD Service Dogs have on the lives of ill and injured Trauma Exposed Professionals (TExP’s) and their family is profound. We have now reached a point in Canada where the demand has outstripped the funding capacity requisite to train and pair service dogs.

A: No, WWC does not provide funding to train individual dogs.

A: Wounded Warriors Canada has established of consistent, defined, transparent and measurable National Standards for all Funded PTSD Service Dog Providers (irrespective of province).
