Wounded Warriors Canada Receives Record-Setting Business Donation
WINNIPEG – Wounded Warriors Canada has received a donation of $319,970.00 from MediaScene, which represents the single largest business donation in the history of the charity. The funds raised are a result of the sales from MediaScene’s Action Pack Coupon Booklet campaign – a coupon booklet containing hundreds of complimentary vouchers for local products and services. They are currently for sale in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This is the second year of the partnership and Wounded Warriors Canada has been utilizing the fundraising from this campaign to support their investment in PTSD Service Dogs for Veterans and First Responders across the country.
Scott Maxwell, Executive Director of Wounded Warriors Canada, commented, “We receive $5.00 of each Action Pack Booklet sold, which means that 63,994 Canadians made this donation possible by supporting the campaign. What’s more, this partnership highlights our strong community-based support that drives our national fundraising and, in turn, makes our mental health program investments possible. We are grateful for MediaScene’s commitment to our mission.”
Todd Dube, MediaScene Director, remarked, “MediaScene has provided awareness and funds to many charities over 20 years, however, it was a special honour this year to work together with Wounded Warriors Canada. This spectacular result directly reflects the publics support for this organizations critical role in helping our Veterans and their families in need.”
