Veterans Transition Network

The Veterans Transition Network (VTN) delivers Veterans Transition Programs to Canadian Forces Veterans across the country.

The programs use a unique model developed by psychologists and medical experts at the University of British Columbia over 15 years, and are delivered in teams with successful Veterans from the community that have previously graduated from the program.

Wounded Warriors Canada has been a proud supporter of their national expansion since 2012, providing over $300,000 to bring this program to Ontario and create the infrastructure for sustainable service delivery to all Veterans in this province.

Programs are free of charge to all former members of the CF, and to date have reconnected over 400 Veterans with their communities, giving them the tools to move out of self-imposed isolation and into fulfilling careers that often center around giving back to the community.

  • VTN now has over 640 program graduates across Canada.
  • VTN is currently delivering locally in 7 provinces (BC, AB, MB, ON, QC, NS and PEI) although the program is open to any veteran who requests it.
  • VTN delivers programs for men and women.
  • Currently training bilingual clinicians for program delivery in French (expected by end of 2017)

To request information on attending a program in your area, or if you know a Veteran that is struggling, you can reach the VTN at neveralone@vtncanada.org, or 1(604)559-8155.

The boundaries and safeguards on the program allowed me to give everything: drop all barriers and just go. There’s no other program like it that I know of.

This I can say, without a doubt, has moved me beyond comprehension. I have a better understanding of myself, and others around me. This has made me a better person, father, husband, and veteran.
