Under the agreement, Paramedics Services will share resources and identify or refer paramedics in need of mental health supports and services to the programs offered by WWC.<\/p>\n \u201cThis new partnership reaffirms our commitment towards building and maintaining positive mental health for paramedics and complements the programs and services we already offer,\u201d<\/em> said Chris Spearen, Chief of York Region Paramedic Services.<\/strong> \u201cOur priority is to ensure paramedics have access to the care and services they need, when they need them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Paramedics are highly trained and skilled clinical professionals who are often the first to arrive at an emergency. Due to the nature of their work, they often face challenging situations that test their physical or mental health and safety.
