The session is best delivered in person, but can also be delivered online to a small or large group of participants within the same organization. The curriculum covered in TRT-Direct is the same curriculum covered in the TRT Train-the-Trainer delivery, which ensures consistent messaging and education across the organization.<\/p>\n

Facilitated by TRT Lead Trainers, the depth of information and conversation is often expanded with nuanced examples and discussions over a four-hour period of time. TRT-Direct, is designed to provide clear, engaging, and relevant trauma education to participants in a relatively short period of time.<\/p>\n

Organizations may also choose to begin with TRT-Direct as an initial step, then follow-up at a later date with TRT Train-the-Trainer. The trainings both cover the same curriculum, providing consistent and common educational experiences and language for organizations and their members, which can enhance understanding and communication across different areas and roles.

The organization selects up to 25 staff members to receive the training who then are licenced to deliver the curriculum internally to their peers over a two-year period. TRT\u00a0 Train-the-Trainer is designed to deliver the same base curriculum as TRT-Direct, which his then delivered internally to the organization by the organization\u2019s own employees, which can have a significant effect on uptake.<\/p>\n

Trainees spend three days learning a set curriculum provided to them by the TRT Lead Trainers. They receive coaching, feedback, and the opportunity to work in small teams with their peers learning how to deliver the TRT curriculum in a consistent, clear, and accessible manner.<\/p>\n

TRT Train-the-Trainer is designed for organizations that are seeking to build capacity for trauma education that is both scalable and sustainable. The 3-Days of in-person training are also part of the experience for employees as they engage in the training with the Lead Trainers over an extended period of time, along with over twenty of their peers, often enhancing connections amongst trainees.

The TRT-L is designed specifically for individuals who are in leadership roles in military, veteran, police, firefighting, paramedic, corrections, and health care settings. Leaders who participate in TRT-L should be responsible for a variable number of direct reports and will have, as part of their mandate, the support and promotion of their members\u2019 mental health in some capacity.<\/p>\n
