In 1993 Steven enrolled in the Royal Military College and joined the Corp of Engineers. In 1997 he completed a B.Engr. in Electrical Engineering and was posted to 2nd Field Engineer Regiment (now 32 Combat Engineer Regiment).<\/p>\n
Upon receiving his Degree Steven started with an electronics manufacturer and has held a number of positions including Global Manager Supply Chain Environmental Engineering and has worked with plant general management and operational staff in the Americas, Europe, Eastern Europe, and South East Asia. Steven transitioned through various industries including Construction, Military Recruiting, and Contract Furniture Manufacturing where he held senior engineering roles. Steven most recently transitioned to Director of Training with Wounded Warriors Canada.<\/p>\n

At 32 Combat Engineer Regiment, LCol Boychyn has held staff positions and took Command in 2016. LCol Boychyn deployed domestically on several occasions as well as internationally on OP KOBOLD as the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Joint Logistic Support Group. While serving on the NATO tour he was awarded a Commander’s commendation for his exceptional performance of duty. He has been awarded the NATO Non Article 5, Canadian Peace Service Medal, Queens Diamond Jubilee, Canadian Decoration, and King’s Coronation medal. He was promoted to his present rank in September, 2016 and is currently Senior Directing Staff at the Canadian Army Command and Staff College.<\/p>\n
