Tailgate For Charity

Wounded Warriors.ca wishes to thank Doug Lapierre of Mighty Oak Promotions in Calgary for his effort in organizing "Tailgate for Charity 2009" held during this year's Vanier and Grey Cup weekend.

Thanks to Doug and all those that participated and donated, were able to raise $5,500 from this event.

A special note about the "cheesy moustaches" in the pictures and to recognize that some extra money was raised during this event for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. It was done in the memory of Al Lang, a treasured friend who lost his battle with this terrible disease.

One of the highlights for the evening was the Calgary Stampeders' touch down horse "Quick Six" facilitated by Karyn Drake.

We couldn't do what we do, without people and events like this. This is very much appreciated and will go a long way to help our soldiers and veterans.
